Spring Plant Discovery - Spring
Learning how to identify plants in our landscape is a valuable survival skill. In this class you will saunter around a natural area with a certified Montana Master Naturalist, and learn how to identify numerous native and non-native forbs, shrubs, trees and lichens using a variety of techniques. You’ll also learn which ones can provide us with food, medicine, cordage and dye and how to ethically harvest them. You will leave this class with a new appreciation of how many wonderful plants are available to us and how to integrate them into your daily life.
Supplies: Small backpack with notebook, pencil/pen, water bottle, sunscreen, hiking shoes and appropriate clothes for weather.
